Bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese
I'm really excited about these, they are so delicious! The good thing is, they are easy and only take 3 ingredients! You can make 2 or 200! Great for appetizers and parties!
Here's what you'll need:
- jalapenos
- cream cheese
- bacon
- toothpicks
Here's what to do:
1. Start by soaking as many toothpicks as jalapenos halves you'll be making. Soak about 20-30 minutes, that way they won't burn in the oven.
2. Cut the stems off and then cut in half, length wise.
3. Next, take all or none of the seeds and ribs out of the pepper. These are what make the pepper hot, so if you like some heat, keep 'em. If not, take 'em out!
4. Fill with as little or as much cream cheese you want. I love this part, so I tend to put a little more in mine.
5. Wrap with your bacon. I usually cut one slice into thirds, which usually works depending on the size of the pepper.
6. Skewer the bacon, length wise, making sure to skewer the bacon at least twice to ensure it stays on the peppers.
7. Place on a wire rack with a baking sheet underneath in order to catch any drippings. Pop into a 375 degree oven for about 25 minutes.
Sooo yummy! Enjoy!
100% free Snowman
I saw this cute tutorial today and decided to have a go at it! I had everything already on hand so for me, it was completely free! I just love that!
Cute and simple, maybe not your run of the mill snowman, but I love him all the same!
Twine wrapped Christmas trees...all from the Dollar Tree
I just absolutely love and adore the Dollar Tree! I wanted to have a go with the twince wrapped Christmas trees that I've been seeing floating around blogland lately. So, I hightailed it to DT, picked up some supplies and got to work. If you want to make this, here's what you'll need:
- a spool of twine
- a small cylinder cone
- glittered flowers
- hot glue
That's it!
These are the glittery flowers I found up close, the red one is blurry, sorry! I just loved these, not in the pots, so I plucked them out and plucked them off of their stems.
Now, start to wrap your twine. I at first started at the bottom, but was having too much trouble keeping it on, so I went back and started at the top. Really, there was no glue needed at first. Just hold the twine on for a couple of turns and it will stay in place on its own.
Keep wrapping....it seems like it takes forever! Make sure to wrap tightly and close together so that it stays in place. When you get to the very bottom, secure the end with some hot glue. Then, go back to the very top and wrap some twine around to cover the tip, secure in place with more glue.
Then add your embellishment! Simple and so many variations can be done with this. I have a larger cone that I'm going to do as well. That make take the rest of my life! =] Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

My dream came true!
So, I posted a blog several months ago rambling about how I really wanted a Cricut and blah blah blah....well....I GOT ONE!! Menards was having a Black Friday sale, $148 for the Cricut Expression, which is $100 off! And, they had the cartridges for $19.99! I am sooo excited! Anywho, I hope everyone had a splendid Thanksgiving and if you braved the masses to go out this morning, I hope everything went well! My husband and I's toes were frozen solid, we couldn't feel them at all. =]
